MANAGING EDITOR
The Opportunity
• Drive editorial strategy for Body Local across all of its platforms and collaborate with Product, Marketing PR and Sales to deliver on site-wide initiatives that increase brand recognition and engagement for consumers, advertisers and media
• Manage content production (text and video) & editorial strategy across BodyLocal’s web, mobile, blogs, electronic newsletters and social media presences of relevant and accurate content for our target audiences in the most compelling language
• Collaborate with Community Managers and Insiders to effectively communicate voice and quality standards to writers and editors on an ongoing basis
• Write, edit and own production of all content while collaborating regularly with creators to refine feature pitches and ensure quality of final product
• Leverage experts in diet, nutrition, fitness and health to create editorial content for the site, outside media and
• Provide editorial insight on site-wide initiatives while collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, Community, PR, Engineering, SEO and Design teams
• Work closely with the Product team to prioritize editorial initiatives & develop an editorial calendar
• Help create, enhance and market site tools, services and mobile applications
• Collaborate with Marketing team to drive media influence and recognition for BodyLocal content and the brand at large
• Produce site's weekly newsletters
• Collaborate with Marketing team and sales teams to deliver on editorial concepts geared toward advertising opportunities
• Program the site through CMS to deliver timely, relevant, high quality content to the BodyLocal readership
• Perform regular quality audits for content and evolve the editorial style guidelines and formats on an as needed basis
• Track and understand performance of content based on traffic and revenue
Your Skills & Experience:
• Have a minimum of 7-10 years experience in an online editorial environment, with strong writing, editing and reporting background (experience with a healthy lifestyle publisher preferred)
• Proven understanding of social media platforms and social media campaigns/contests
• Experience working closely with an online Product team and working knowledge of Product best practices, procedures and nomenclature
• Proven proficiency with Content Management Systems, Photoshop, HTML, Google Analytics and Dreamweaver
• Strong familiarity with AP style or other publishing style manuals
• Experience working with freelance writers, making assignments and providing feedback
• Experience working with PR and marketing teams to create positive consumer influence
• Working knowledge of SEO and SEO writing
• Working knowledge of email marketing and email marketing best practices
• Demonstrated understanding of online publishing competitive landscape

DIRECTOR – DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA
The Opportunity:
• Take the reins of the Company’s digital and social media operations including strategy development, tactical expertise and execution and measurement of social media programs
• Identify and define social media opportunities for the Company as they align with its digital marketing goals and strategies. Understand how social media fits into holistic marketing plans and goals and build sound business strategies for the Company around social media
• Manage the execution of the Company’s social media programs and new business opportunities and be accountable for the quality of its social media plans/strategies/services
• Establish social media practice as key driver of revenue and margin growth Your Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in social media and digital marketing
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in the social media marketing space including:
• Proven ability to create and manage a social media discipline within a business
• Proven ability to leverage social media across platforms
• Proven ability to integrate social media into overall marketing strategy

DIRECTOR – ECOMMERCE
The Opportunity:
• Plan and execute site marketing and promotions including developing guidelines to maximize online store assets
• Monitor and react to daily sales and conversion within the store
• Utilize web analytics to monitor overall homepage conversion, collection performance, promotional tracking, click-stream analysis, and other reporting needs as identified
• Utilize web analytics to assess value of store real estate, track performance and establish expectations of click-through and conversion
• Manage third party marketing and merchandising partners; maximizing those products and services to garner the most positive customer experience
• Assist Customer Service and help identify and address customer issues related to product data, promotional offers
• Manage the Web Merchandising department
• Set up new products in our content management system and ensuring that products are set up in backend systems
• Oversee changes to products including copy, image, messaging and pricing updates
• Create shopping collections to support seasonal promotions, internet and email marketing initiatives and branding campaigns
• Analyze and report on competitive sites’ storefronts, marketing efforts and customer communications
Your Skills & Experience:
• Have a minimum of 7-10 years relevant web marketing work experience including at least 5 years of e-Commerce experience. Merchandising experience a plus
• Possess excellent understanding of online technologies including web analytics, online shopping behavior, processes and goals, as well as customer relationship management

DIRECTOR – MEDIA PARTNERSHIPS & CONTENT SYNDICATION
The Opportunity:
• Create and execute partnerships with traditional and new media publishers which result in the distribution of BodyLocal’s brand and content with the objective of ensuring that whenever consumers think about local fitness, nutrition & wellness, they think BodyLocal
• Identify, build and nurture partnerships and alliances that drive profit, support business strategies and leverage BodyLocal’s content assets to drive value to the Company
• Provide strategic leadership, partner stewardship and partner integration to drive maximum value for BodyLocal
• Negotiate agreements in support of strategic imperatives and business priorities.

• Be the face of Body Local in your industry and cultivate relationships with studio owners, general managers and instructors that results in content for BodyLocal.com including
• Listings of local businesses and instructors
• Listings of events, class schedules, workshops, teacher trainings & seminars
• Listings of deals, special offers and other products & services that can be sold in our e-commerce marketplace
• Identify content partners for Body Local’s web, mobile, e-newsletter and social media platforms including writers, industry experts and influential bloggers
• Identify and create opportunities for Body Local to increase its brand profile by producing, participating in and supporting events, classes, expos and fundraisers in your industry throughout NYC
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to identify opportunities for our brand partners to introduce their products & services to members of your community
• Recruit volunteers for Body Local’s events, seminars and expos.
